Litigation specialist Alexander Reuter joins team that has successfully represented congregations across the country in cases under Religious Land Use & Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA)
DETROIT (May 6, 2019) – Dalton & Tomich, PLC today announced attorney Alexander Reuter has joined the firm’s practice specializing in defending the religious freedoms of churches and other religious institutions in land use and zoning discrimination cases. The firm has particular expertise in cases involving violations of RLUIPA, the Religious Land Use & Institutionalized Persons Act.
A passionate and experienced litigator, Reuter was named a “Rising Star” by Michigan Super Lawyers for 2019. He is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he earned Book Awards in the areas of Contract Law, Trial Practice and First Amendment Seminar. Prior to law school, Reuter attended the University of Concordia, Ann Arbor, where he graduated with honors, earned the Distinguished Scholar Award and was named an Academic All-American while playing for the Concordia Cardinals baseball team.
